Our first born - new puppy. German shorthaired pointer.

Currently Cleo is 1 week old as of 22/04/14 and we will bringing her home mid June.  We have fallen in love with the German Shorthaired Pointer breed for all their characteristics such as needing a lot of stimulation and exercise as well as love having a cuddle on the sofa in the evenings.  We have already bought most of the things we will need as well as a few things for a few more months down the line.  We will be making another trip back to our local Pets at home for puppy food and some other bits and bobs soon.  Here are some of the things we loved:-).

Pictures of her will be up soon as we will be visiting her along with the mum and dad again this weekend. Obviously we are both very excited for every part of the next 12-15 years with our baby even the sleepless nights that will be for the first month or so!!  And who knows in a few years she may have a new puppy friend hehe:-).

Easter things 2014.

We haven't really celebrated Easter this year in regards to traditions or food but I did decide to put a few bits and pieces round the house for the atmosphere.  I have got my bunny slippers on though:-).  I will be making 3 different flavoured cupcakes later on this weekend which I suppose could be for Easter although in fact will be for my his mums birthday.  Recipe and pictures will follow on Tuesday.

Nails of the week #2 - Nails Inc London Hampstead Gardens

A gorgeous quite bright mustard colour that I applied two coats of to achieve this look.  I know this colour would usually be associated with Autumn/Fall but I don't really believe in wearing certain colours at certain times.  The Polish is thick, easy to apply, pigmented and lasts me a decent amount of time.  I have recently posted another Nails Inc look so check that out if you like their products.

Nail of the week #1 - Nails Inc London Cumberland Street nail polish

A gorgeous sky blue colour perfect for this lovely spring weather we have had this weekend.  I used two coats with a Collection 2000 base coat.  After photographing my nails I actually applied a mattifying top coat from Rimmel London.

We've moved!

Well technically we have even if it is only 1.5 miles down the road!  However even with the short distance from the local small town it feels like you are in the middle of complete nowhere!  Totally surrounded by gorgeous Wiltshire countryside we are in a place we feel is home.  A place where we can take the next steps in our lives together - getting married and having children.

Just thought I should update you guys as I know I may have seemed to just disappear.  However now I am moved and over 50% settled I can start putting up regular posts again.

What would you think to me starting a YouTube channel with a similar theme?

Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish Review - Empties

300ml RRP £7.50
This product is from Soap & Glory's Original Pink Fragrance line and the ingredients include Shea butter, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder, sea salt and sugar.

Apply this product on to damp skin, massage in until all the beads have disappeared and then rinse.  It is a medium to high harshness of scrub with it feeling slightly oily on the skin whilst being rubbed in.  It rinses of easily and leaves skin feeling very clean.  After you have dried off, the skin feels a lot smoother and soft to the touch even before moisturiser has been applied.

I do find that you need a decent amount and therefore the pot is used up quicker than with other scrubs that have a thinner consistency for example.  I use this product a few times a week and I use along side the Righteous Butter which has the same scent.  I have seen results as it has helped with dry skin in the winter and my eczema patch.

Because of this I would fully recommend this product to everyone!

Xpel Argan Oil Shampoo with Moroccan argan oil extract - empties

So I bought this shampoo because I wanted to try out some alternative to the quite pricey Argan Oil hair products.  I found this in Bodycare for about £1.99 and I believe that other stores that sell this are places like Savers and various Pound shops.

It claims to nourish and moisturise leaving your hair shiny, smooth and healthy and is designed to be used on all hair types.  It does leave my hair soft and easy to manage but then again, the majority of shampoos I have used have done the same.  I don't find it dries or weakens my hair and I have not found that is has given me any irritation.  I did like to use Head & Shoulders shampoo and I have noticed that over the past month of using the Argan Oil shampoo that I have had a slight issue with dandruff on second day hair.  I am not sure whether it is this shampoo that has caused it or whether my scalp had gotten used to and agrees the most with Head & Shoulders - like its having withdrawal symptoms or something!  The product lathers very well and I don't need a ton to cover all my hair so it doesn't use up extra fast.  It is a thick creamy consistency and has a lovely medium to strong fragrant soapy kind of smell.

However on the ingredients list Argan Oil is only listed at number 9 with two Sulfates at number 2 and number 4.  When I purchased I was silly and didn't read this - if I did then I probably wouldn't have even tried it.  This strikes me as a shampoo that hasn't had much love put into it in regards to the ingredients and isn't as natural as the packaging makes out.  But I guess that is what you get from not buying the true Argan/Moroccan Oil shampoo.  The whole range is actually made in China by Xpel Marketing who aren't who I would call "experts" in haircare.  They also have a heat protectant, conditioner, hair mask and hair treatment within the range.  I also purchased the hair mask and conditioner.

In conclusion, I wouldn't repurchase this and I don't think that I would recommend this purely on the ingredients list.  If that sort of thing doesn't bother you then I would say yes, buy this shampoo, it does a good job especially for the price - it just isn't a proper Argan Oil shampoo in my opinion.  I am still debating on whether or not to use up the mask and conditioner or to stop using them altogether.  Although as I am writing this blog post I am thinking that I will probably stop using these now and start trying out the new hair products that I have waiting to be used.

Have you seen this range?  what are your thoughts on it?
